Offset printing is used primarily for publication and commercial printing. In packaging, sheetfed printing appears in folding cartons. In lithography, ink is transferred from a plate wrapped around a cylinder onto a rubber blanket, which transfers the image to the printing surface. It is either roll-to-roll or sheetfed printed, and the inks are paste inks. Fountain solutions are used to keep the non-image part of the plate free from the ink.
